The editor of The Book Design Review has chosen the best book covers (in his view) of 2008. Many have a similar, muscular look: not necessarily attractive, but eye- and, most significantly, mind-catching. I voted for Milk, although there were others I was tempted by.

Hi - I've popped over from Judith James' website. I followed your link and had to laugh at the cover for 'All The Sad Young Literary Men'. But 'Soon I Will Be Invincible' is hard to resist for me.
Julia, I love the cover of "All the Sad Young Literary Men" as well. I was tempted to vote for it. "Soon I Will be Invincible" is so sweet. It's sad that the designer is "unknown." (How can that be?)
Thanks for the link Sandra. Milk would get my vote too, although The Terror Dream was a close second. (I liked all the Futuristic 30s style type).
